Focus Spot 7Z
Here’s what we like – ADJ took the the Focus Profile and built us a spot fixture that’s very bright, has a lot of good features, but offers a really solid price.

This is a nice spot fixture with a wide zoom range (6° – 48°) and a good set of features. There are 2 gobos wheels and they both offer rotation, as well as a full animation wheel.
The gobos included are a nice mix of projection and aerial effect style gobos, and the 2 prisms allow you to have one more designed for aerial effects (the 6-facet linear) and projection (the 4-facet prism).
It also offers frosts for wash-style effects, though I wouldn’t rely on this to be a primary wash fixture since it has a lower color quality…and generally, using frost filters in a spot fixture reduces your output quite a bit!
This is a well-featured, well-priced light which is worth a look when you need a spot fixture that’s in this brightness range and you don’t require framing shutters.
